You don't have to say "sorry" for crying.

Updated: Jun 21, 2022

You are allowed to feel.

"STOP SMILING, you're a big boy/girl now", said literally no one ever. On the flip side, we were made to feel ashamed or even at fault for crying. From when we were kids, we had to force ourselves to smile instead, in the effort to be loved by the grown ups around us again. Yet, crying and smiling are both perfectly natural responses to our feelings. Just like the how it rains when the clouds get heavy. Smiling doesn't hurt anyone. Nor does crying either. So if things feel tough and heavy for you now, I want you to know that it's absolutely okay to shed some tears. You deserve to empty that heavy cup you've been carrying all on your own this time. You deserve to be able to feel. Here when you need a friend, Hernping
